The Hon. James Edward Madison (19 July 1757 - 8 October 1802) was the fourth President-General of the United Provinces of America. Madison was the second leader of the Tory Party of America, succeeding Sir Daniel Worthington in 1791. Madison became the first Tory President-General in June, 1796.
