The Pureblood Preservation League is an organization dedicated to maintaining the elevated status of so-called "pureblooded" wizards. They stand in idealogical opposition to the National Association for the Abolition of Blood Status. Among the League's objectives in the first decade of the 2000's has been the banning of Beedle the Bard's The Fountain of Fair Fortune. The League claims the theatrical version of the tale is "subversive" because of the plot element of a witch marrying a Muggle, further claiming that "Muggle-lovers inserted" that element into "the original Beedle tale."
