The dubs are very small stage in a vast GET arena. Think of the endless repeating digits got by the funposters of one board of 4chan on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other board, how eager they are to GET those numbers, how fervent their love for repeating numbers. Think of the rivers of dubs spilled by all those kekkers and getters so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of an ending fraction of the post number. Our posts, our imagined importance of dubs, the fact that we have some privileged position on 4chan, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our doubles is a lonely speck in the great enveloping numeric dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that dubs will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. s4s is the only board known so far to worship dubs. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our funposters could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment s4s is where we make our stand. It has been said that s4s is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny dubs.To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dubs,and s4s,the only home we've ever known
