Encore Theatre Company is a not-for-profit professional live theatre company in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. It is based at the Ernie Checkeris Theatre at Thorneloe University. The company was founded in May of 2011 by a five alumni of the Thorneloe University Theatre Arts program and opened its debut season in September of the same year. Its mandate is to produce edgy, exciting, and gritty theatrical work for the local and regional audience and to foster, promote, and create professional opportunities for local theatre artists living and working in the region, with a particular emphasis on emerging artists.

Additionally, Encore's mandate aims to support, develop, promote, and produce original theatrical works particularly those that communicate local themes and voices. The founding President and Artistic Director is Callam Rodya, who has directed Encore's first two main-stage productions. Encore's primary focus is on developing emerging theatrical artists through theatrical work that challenges both the artist and the audience alike. As of July 2012
