He had a tattoo on his left posterior plating which said, "Thank the Maker." He escaped the base during the Empire’s siege. He then went on to go from owner to owner until winding up working at the Jedi Academy on Ossus.

The droid was present for the Battle of Hoth, which the Alliance lost, forcing them to evacuate Echo Base.
