Born to a long line of Jedi, Wyyrlok's father trained under Jonro Lamai to become a Jedi Knight, and later requested of the Jedi Council that his own son, Wyyrlok, be taught by Lamai. Wyyrlok's father served the Jedi order faithfully until an unknown incident turned him to the dark side of the Force. When Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was tasked with redeeming him, Wyyrlok's father attacked him; in the ensuing duel he accidentally fell upon his own blade, killing himself. His body was later returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where Wyyrlok spent several days mourning over him.
