Synopsis
| - When a planted rumor to a rival newspaper about Captain Cold apparently being a benefit to man, Iris West and Barry Allen travel to the paper so that Iris and the Flash can set the paper straight. While they are gone from town, Captain Cold builds a miniature freeze ray and escapes from prison.
While Barry searches for Cold as the Flash, the Captain arrives at the home of Iris West, proposing to her. When Iris rejects his offer, he freezes the entire city and demands that she comply. The Flash arrives, and fights through Cold's usual ice mirages and ice traps and defeats his old foe once more, restoring the city back to normal and returning him to the authorities. Later, as Barry Allen, the Flash hears from Iris the incredible story.
- Blue Valley's honor student James King runs away from home when he is accused of stealing an answer sheet at school. Wally's teacher Miss Grant realizes that James did not steal it but it ended up in his possession due to one of her own errors. Asking Wally to get the aid of Kid Flash Wally speeds off to find James King. He finds that James in York City and is in trouble. After running away James met up with his cousin Paul who is a member of the Beatnik Gang. When they tried to get James to help out in their heist of a fur truck, and James refused, they had locked him up so he could not tell the authorities. Kid Flash races to the scene of the crime and stops the Beatnik Gang from pulling off their heist and turns them over to the police. The next day, James returns to school and continues his productive academic career.
