  • * When Stewie thinks to himself, he thinks of "Pigs in Space" which is a sketch from The Muppet Show. * Brian watches a film in which Harrison Ford tells random people he wants his family back. Harrison's movies frequently have this type of theme, such as the movies Air Force One, The Fugitive, Firewall, Frantic, Patriot Games, and Random Hearts. * Herbert asks Stewie to tell Chris to open his window and holds above him an old style phonograph which is playing "Let's Have Another Cup Of Coffee" by Irving Berlin, performed by Glenn Miller. It's a reference to a scene in Say Anything... where John Cusack's character holds up a boombox playing In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel for Ione Skye's character. * Lois' return at the end resembles the first appearance of the White Ranger of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. * The poster promoting this episode is a parody of the movie poster for Mr. and Mrs. Smith, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. * Tom Tucker concludes the news by saying, "That's the news and I...am...outta here!" and scribbling on his script. This was how Dennis Miller concluded "Weekend Update" when he was the head anchor of it on Saturday Night Live. * The "To Be Continued" card is the same style and font as in two-part episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The drawn out, dramatic music is a parody of the cliffhanger from the episode The Best Of Both Worlds Part 1. Ron Jones composed both the music for that episode and this episode. * The cutaway about Peter in the Army references the friendly-fire death of Pat Tillman.http://www.biography.com/people/pat-tillman-197041
