The North Island piopio (Turnagra tanagra), is an extinct species of piopio in the Oriolidae family. The North Island piopio is now considered to be extinct. The Māori names were piopio-kata (also transcribed as tiutiu-kata), and in the Kaipara dialect, korohea.
