Joël Prévost (born Richard-Jacques Bonay) is a French singer. After being adopted by a family in northern France after birth, he moved to Paris in 1970 and signed his first contract in 1972. He represented France on home ground at the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 in Paris with the song Il y aura toujours des violons, finishing in third place with 119 points, receiving marks from every other nation that year. Joël still performs to this day, having done residencies in the past at several theatres in Paris and touring extensively in Africa.
