Relying on her father's legacy could only last so long and Verica knew that if she couldn't make up for the fact that her parents didn't have a son, she would be relegated to her husband's lineage instead. Her future would be dictated by the military and she signed up for the Sarrelonian Navy. However, once her mother and father found out, they had that door closed most soundly and arranged for her to attend a prestigious university in the capitol. Acquiescing, the socialite's desire remained buried for now and she dedicated herself instead to the curriculum offered, though her passion was in military history. Logistics had become part of her business background, so that knowledge would also help her adapt as an officer once she escaped this world. The night she graduated opened the door that her parents had arranged for her as their friend's son stood there with a ring in his hand. Shocked, she angrily left the room and began packing. Mother, AnaMarie owns a chain of properties and uses her smile to gain alliances with other philanthropists, gaining her own little empire with their creds. Rigidly aristocratic, she hates the fact that her oldest has left them behind for a career in the Imperial Navy and hasn't spoken to Verica since. Father, Anthony works for the District Attorney's office and has been a notable lawyer for many years. Some say he's on his way to becoming a judge and his own fervent tenacity to change the laws to support those of privilege may just gain him that position one day. However, having Verica leave the protection of his estate and turn down the proposal of another wealthy name has left him distracted. Sister, Arianna is 19 now and has entered college with the thoughts of politics on her mind. The more social and heavily into sports, the athletic sister admires Verica for her stedfastness, but also hates that her sister had to leave the planet to follow that dream. They keep in touch on occasion and is the staunchest suppoter of this goal.
