(LUG RPG: The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon) With the information gained from the captured Dominion subspace relay on AR-558 Starfleet Command devised a strategy to retake the Kalandra sector, which the Dominion had held from before the Battle of Betazed. The strategy was based around the Seventh and Tenth Fleets cutting the supply lines through the sector. The Tenth Fleet struck the Jem'Hadar in the Shar'tala'veb system. With supplies to the system low the Jem'Hadar's discipline started to break. It took the fleet a mere hour to reclaim the system. The Seventh Fleet had a more difficult time in the Ducha'asa Vell system. It was a heavily fortified stronghold and over the course of a week Starfleet and Klingon forces struck at the defenders, wearing them down and whittling their numbers. The crucial moment came when the IKS Qa'tang destroyed Bethra Nor in a suicide attack. With a hole in the Dominion's lines the Alliance forces were able to surround the remaining installations and force a surrender. In response the Dominion sortied two strike fleets to reinforce their positions. The Klingon Defense Force and Romulan Star Navy engaged the fleets with hit and run tactics, allowing the Starfleet forces to continue to capture more star systems. The Alliance forces then lured the Dominion fleet to the Violet Nebula, where they ambushed and all but destroyed the entire Dominion force. With the no Dominion reinforcements another half dozen systems including the Trenatha system and the Cortule system fell to Alliance forces. By the end of the campaign the Alliance had recaptured nearly half of the entire sector.
