During Weatherby Swann's governorship over Port Royal, the garden wasn't well-kept. It looked more like a jungle and the little stream was full of alligators. At some point in time, a small cemetery was built in the garden. During the War of Jolly Roger, the garden was invaded by the undead minions of Jolly Roger. However, they were stopped by a group of valiant Royal Marines.

  • The Governor's Garden was one of the largest gardens in the Artisan District of the Second City. Completely open to both samurai and heimin, it was a favorite of the Imperial Governor of the Colonies, the late Ikoma Katsuru. Despite it straditional style, it boasted a few exotic plants and trees from the Colonies. The new governor, Otomo Suikihime, seemed not to like thelost some of its prestige and attendance by the courtiers of the Imperial District had slowly declined. Some soldiers started using it as a training site or even as a dueling ground. Some of the native fruit trees in the garden were the main food source for a local species of very large bats.
  • The Governor's Garden is a not a well-kept garden, owing to the fact that there is a run-down shed and a small cemetery here. It is found behind Governor's Mansion on Port Royal. It has a different layout than the most of the other forests in the game but is very simliar to the Tortuga Graveyard. It can be used to access the Royal Caverns or Murky Hollow. This area is often used by pirates for ranking or leveling beginning skills.
