It peaked at number two on MTV's Total Request Live spending thirty-seven days on the countdown; it was not able to retire due to the early introduction of the music video for her second single, "If It's Lovin' That You Want". The video reached number four on BET's 106 & Park and remained on the countdown for over twenty days. Pon De Replay was released in 2005 and it was one of the top songs of 2005.
