For example if you connect to the American territory, in your normal districts (home districts) you can only see people from the American server. If you go to an international district you can meet with people from any territory. This is useful for several reasons:
* It means that you can meet up with friends from all over the world and form a group
* You can trade items with someone from a different territory
* The Frog and Gaile Gray were most commonly found in the international districts of Lion's Arch
* Guild Registrars are removed in these districts.

Don't pass up the opportunity to stop by the Family Shelter on 5th and King st. You can volunteer or give donations or even just tour the building. The International District/Chinatown community center offers activities and classes for kids and adults, such as sports, martial arts, and yoga, as well as a meeting space and public computers.
