The 1990 Pepsi 400 was a Winston Cup Series (now Sprint Cup) event held at Daytona International Speedway on July 7, 1990. Dale Earnhardt had a dominating race, leading 127 of the 160 laps in route to a second-and-a-half victory on Alan Kulwicki. The race was marred by a 20 car accident that took place at the end of lap 1 that took out several of the top contenders. Earnhardt now closed the championship lead on Mark Martin (11th) to 63 markers. Stats
