Despite initially being unsure where they were stored, Captain Archer retrieved "a couple" of these for himself after hosting a meal with Vulcan Captain Vanik. Although Commander Trip Tucker asked Archer if the antacids were required because Vanik had annoyed him, Archer replied that he was suffering indigestion from having eaten meatballs and Vulcan food, the latter of which had been specially prepared for Vanik (though he hadn't eaten any of it). Tucker reacted as if he was skeptical of this explanation and told Archer, "I hope the shelf-life on those antacids has expired." An amused Archer then popped his antacids while exiting sickbay.
