| - In The Sims: House Party, there is only one caterer named Yves. He charges §350 per visit, but will remain in the house until midnight, or until the player dismisses him. Anyone can hire him, even children. If called to a house that does not have either a buffet table or punch bowl, he will grumble angrily, fine the player §25 for his inconvenience, and then leave.
- A caterer was someone providing the service of catering, i.e. provide food for events and other gatherings of people. Quark occasionally provided catering for events on Deep Space 9, often personally. In 2370 Quark offered to reduce his catering rates for a going away party for major Kira as a personal gesture to her. (DS9: "The Circle") In 2371, Quark offered to loan his new replicator if a caterer should be required on the dangerous trip the USS Defiant was about to make to the Gamma Quadrant to locate the Founders. (DS9: "The Search, Part I")

(DS9: "The Search, Part I") For his wedding with Kassidy Yates in 2375, Benjamin Sisko asked her permission to have Quark do the catering. She agreed as long as he didn't overcharge. Due to the ultimate circumstances of the wedding, Quark only had 20 minutes to notice. (DS9: "'Til Death Do Us Part ") Catering has also been provided for Star Trek productions. See for a list of companies which have been involved in catering for Star Trek.

He will refill buffet tables and punch bowls free of additional charge, and will refill them even when they are not fully depleted, allowing for an unlimited, everlasting supply of food and punch. When he is dismissed, he will clean up before leaving. If there is nothing for him to do, he will converse with other party guests.
