Rasengan Smash was previously confirmed on the third Smash Flash DOJO!!! to be Naruto's down special move in Super Smash Flash 2, instead, it was replaced with the Shadow Clone Summon. Naruto uses Rasengan and then smashes the ground with it. According to the third DOJO!!!, the closer opponents were to Naruto, the more damage this attack would have dealt. A similar version of this attack was made into his down smash in version 0.5a of the Super Smash Flash 2 Demo, but was removed and replaced with his current down smash, a split attack, in subsequent versions, for unknown reasons.
