The Soviet Supreme Court is the primary judicial branch of the Soviet Federation. First formed in 3284, the role of the Supreme Court is that to check government power, resolve disputes, and if necessary interpret and enforce Soviet Common law in accordance with the current Constitution. In accordance with the Fourth Soviet Constitution, any member of the Soviet Federation may become a judge within the Supreme Court. A judge is forbidden from pursuing the office of premier or politburo, although they may be able to fill cabinet positions.
