When word leaped of the Earth Federation going to disband the Guardians because of their unethical practices, the Guardians attempted to take over the Earth Federation. During the war, the Lyran Star Empire entered the fight to help on the side of the Earth Federation and rogue seijins. Following the War, the Guardians were disbanded, and the Seijin Monitoring Commission was created.
