This is a list of overworld destinations in Kya: Dark Lineage, each place has it's own set of enemies, items and obstacles. All areas contain several Shell Elevators, and Elevators that allow Kya, to move with quick haste from one spot to the next. Shell Elevators can only bring Kya around in that same territory, in order for her to move to a new location, she would have to go to Nativ City, or find the entrance to another area in the territory she is in.

| Description
| - The Quarry is a mountainous place, where Amber is mined.
- The Fortress is Brazul's impenetrable fortress, and lair.
- A strange desert-world, that Kya and Frank end up in after using the Medallion. There is at least one creature that exists in the world, that immediately attacks the two upon their arrival.
- Flying Forest is a luscious forest in the sky, it is here that Kya finds the Blue Egg. It is surrounded by other, much smaller floating islands, some even contain wateralls.
- The Amber Quarry, is where the Amber is mined.
- Wolfen City, is a small town where Wolfen reside.
- The Hunter's Domain is a barren waste land, filled with dry mountains, giant thorns and floating rocks. It's The Hunter's territory.
- Kya's Hometown is most likely located on Earth, in France. It is in their house that Frank finds a secret room, where The Medallion lies, and are both accidentally sucked into another world.
- An isolated tower in the Hunter's Domain, strong winds come in all directions. The bottom of the tower leads directly to the Quarry.
- The Forgotten Island is a mysterious volcanic island, that Brazul uses as a location for his laboratory.
- Nativ City is a luscious city of nature, this is the home base of the Nativs.
- The old Air Post, is a mountainous location that has a cannon leading to the Forgotten Island.
- The Roots is a Jungle that Kya ends up in, when thrown through the portal. She is immediately chased by the treacherous Wolfen. A strange creature helps her to safety and brings her to his village.
