  • The Commonwealth of Gao Nations (Kunikata: 御國聯合 Mikoku Rengou, Indralan: 大高國協 Dà Gāo Guóxié) is a super-national political entity of nations of Gao-Showa heritage. It seeks to increase economic, military, and cultural cooperation between Gao-Showan nations in Terra, as well as to assist the preservation and promotion of Gao-Showan culture. It is meant to be a replacement of the defunct Empire of Dai-Gao, which is deemed too politically-centralised to be practical. Terunori Kitano, the founder of the Gao Nation Restoration Society and proposer of the Commonwealth of Gao Nations, argues that the Empire of Dai-Gao "failed in upholding the banner of pan-Gao-Showan nationalism" because of its lack of momentum and popular support, and believes that the commonwealth, being clear on its objective, will succeed in creating the foundation of the future Gao-centric hegemony.
