Donny was subsequently killed during a mock game of Russian Roulette when Brandon - his arrogance leaving him unable to accept the knowledge that he was technically Amanda's second choice - arranged for a bullet to be left in the gun when their friend Max Heller fired it at Donny. Although Brandon attempted to cover his tracks, subsequent mistakes he made resulted in his role being exposed, even after he killed Max and tried to make it look like a suicide.
