Apostolis Charalampos was a general in the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, and later serving the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He was born on the planet of Hellena in the Mid Rim, and became a captain in the Hellenan People's Militia. Around the same time, Charalampos' home planet suffered an economic collapse as a result of the Galactic Republic taking large amounts of Hellena's most valuable resources: specialized crystals. It pushed him to support the Separatist movement, and he became an advocate for Hellena joining the newly formed Separatist Alliance; gaining more influence when he was promoted to colonel in 24 BBY. In 23 BBY, Charalampos was contacted by Count Dooku and offered a position in the Separatist Droid Army, which he accepted.
