Dooku was also known as a smashball player, and became famous for his unique scoring technique. Playing for the Corellian Dreadnaughts, Dooku came to fame first by leaving the Jedi Order, leaving behind his apprentice Qui-Gon Jinn, to play smashball and then by using his abilities to trick and outmaneuver his opponents. When confronted by Sidious, granted the rank of Sith Lord and convinced to form the SIC, Dooku was forced to leave smashball for a three year period, as stated in his contract. When that contract expired, however, while dueling Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi above Naboo, Dooku returned to play smashball, but found that his game was as good as it used to be. He played one more season then retired. Dooku, however, decided to stick around one more season, just to see how he would play. He repeated this once more before finally retiring and settling on Corellia.
