The Edmonton City Junior League was a junior hockey league that operated in the city of Edmonton from the early 1920's to 1949-50. Its champions were eligible for the Alberta Junior Playoffs and the Memorial Cup. Throughout the 1920's, 30's, and early 40's it was fairly common to have a junior league in most of Canada's largest cities. However, by 1949, the other cities in Western Canada had come up with a single team each and had formed the Western Canada Junior League. The teams in the Edmonton league could not compete against them since they were dividing the city's junior talent.

In 1950 the league was disbanded and an all-star team was formed from the league's best players. This team was called the Edmonton Oil Kings. It played an exhibition schedule only in 1950-51 and joined the Western League in 1951-52.
