| - Peter Guinness (born 3rd May 1950 in Whitstable, Kent) appeared on Coronation Street in September 2000 and April 2002 as Ray Sykes. He revealed a flair for drawing and painting at school, later studying art and and qualified as an art teacher. It was while working in a south London comprehensive school however, he became interested in theatre and in 1973 he auditioned for the Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in 1976. His other credits include roles in Hazell, Smiley's People, Chancer, Van der Valk, Spender, Heartbeat, Cadfael, Casualty, Red Cap, Sea of Souls, The Bill, Silent Witness and Hidden, along with the films The Keep, American Roulette, The Saint, Sleepy Hollow, Greenfingers, Secret Passage, The Conclave and Centurion.
- He has appeared in over fifty television productions and over ten films. Guinness has also appeared onstage in an adaptation of The Pianist.
