| - Doug Taylor is a former NASCAR driver and owner from Santa Barbara, CA. He owned the #40 Taylor Motorsports team from 1994 to 1999. As a driver, he competed in four Busch Series races.
Taylor's driving debut came in 1991, when he competed at Watkins Glen International. Taylor had an impressive qualifying effort of 13th, but lost an engine near the halfway point and finished 25th. It would still turn out to be his career-best finish.
Taylor's next race waited until 1995, when he competed at Milwaukee. It was a tough race for the driver, starting last and finishing there after a very early crash.
Taylor's next race came in 1997, when he ran a second car for his team. Starting 29th in the inaugural race at Las Vegas, Taylor fell victim to early brake issues and finished 41st.
Taylor's final race came in 1998, when Taylor ran a start-and-park effort for his team at Pikes Peak. Due to the nature of the program, Taylor only completed thirteen laps and finished 41st.
