There are two different types of zones/areas in Fury. One is for combat, and one is for non-combat. Both are instanced, meaning only a limited number of players can be in one "instance" at a time.

  • In February 1978 Zones released a single "Stuck with You", which attracted the attention of BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel, leading to the band recording a session for his show, and Arista Records, who signed them. The group all together did two sessions for Peel's show in 1978 before splitting up the year later.
  • The smallest areas which make up Vana'diel are generally called Zones, technically "Areas". These are areas between which loading must occur. Most zones lie within a Conquest Region and receive their own dot on Vana'diel's map; other zones, such as zones within cities, do not have a dot here.

  • After a time period that ranges near twenty seconds, the amount of lighted placements your team has is transferred into points, one point per placement. If a red team member runs over a blue lighted placement, the lighted placement turns red. If a red team member runs over a blue lighted placement before the twenty seconds end and a blue team member does not come to replace it, the point goes to the red team. This also applies vice versa.
  • __FORCETOC__ Zones are areas of the map with designated themes, mobs, and scenery. They are connected to other zones by "zone lines"; crossing over to another zone is called "zoning". Zoning can take anywhere from several seconds to several minutes, depending on the player's computer. Zones are, in essence, the smallest unit of seamless playable area in the game, and are stored on the player's hard drive. An area such as a city might be comprised of two or three smaller zones (like Freeport), while a large zone might contain an entire small city and a vast forest (like Greater Faydark). Zones represent a wide variety of geographical features that can be found in EverQuest, including plains, oceans, cities, deserts, forests, and alternate planes of existence.
  • Non-boss zones require you to kill 10 monsters in order to move onto the next one. If you do not kill all 10 monsters in a certain zone, move to another zone and then return, the kill count will reset to 0/10. This requirement can be lowered by obtaining and leveling Kumawakamaru. Every 5 zones, there's a boss battle in which you have to defeat the boss in less than 30 seconds. After ascending, you will start back at zone 1. Offline farming and the Timelapse purchase gives gold based on your current DPS and highest floor.
