The F.A.S.T. Speed Dial by YoYoFactory was released in 2007 and takes the shuttles of the 401k and puts them in a slimmer package. As with the 401 series, there are 90 response settings for each side of the yo-yo. This gives users the ability to customize the yo-yo to the perfect response for him'/her, with a choice of shuttles, response pads, or a hybrid of both. The Speed Dial is made out of aluminum with plastic rims. This composite-material set-up was reportedly done to keep production costs (and by extension, the retail pricing) down. Finally, it comes in two different versions. The first version is slightly lighter and has a smaller gap. The second version has a larger gap and more rim weight.
