| - Josh's words stung me. He had to be lying. But was he? Words couldn't form in my mouth. My mind was blank. All I wanted to do was cry. "You're lying." My voice was soft. I stared down at my half eaten pie. Tears threatend to spill. "Kaylee," Josh reached over the table to touch me. "I'm telling you the truth. How else would you be a hero? You have WolvesBane's blood flowing through your veins." "Bloodhound!" An angry voice made the room shake. My head snapped up to see the Guild Master. He looked furious. "Guild Master, I only told her the truth." Josh rose from his chair and turned to face the Guild Master. They locked eyes, and sparks seemed to fly. "She needed to know." Josh's voice turn soft. "I'm not angry at you for telling her, Bloodhound." The Guild Master's eyes softened. "I was planning on telling her once she graduated, but now that she knows, things must be sped up." "Don't talk about me like I'm not here!" I forced myself to stand up and walk over to the two men. "Tell me what the hell is going on!" "Kaylee," The Guild Master graced me with his attention. "Everything Bloodhound told you is true." "His name is Josh." I muttered under my breath. The Guild Master kept talking. "Your father was WolvesBane. I knew him and your mother very well. Your father was a lot like you. A bright pupil who mastered strength, skill, and will at a young age. A good man with a strong heart. Stubborn at times but always knowing right from wrong." The Guild Master pointed to the ring that hung around my neck. "The ring that you wear was one that I gave to him after he got married to your mother." I couldn't look into the Guild Master's eyes. "Why did he keep this from me for so long?" "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I almost choked on my words. "I made a promise to your mother, to not tell you until you graduated. She didn't want you to go out looking for her until you were ready." The Guild Master put one of his hands on my shoulder. "But you are ready now. And it only took a 20 year old to point it out." He gestured to Josh who gave me a sheepish smile. "So what do I do now?" I met the Guild Master's eyes "You make ammends."
