She is clearly an important part of the Merikit religion mythos, because when various members of the Caineron family take on roles of the Four, Lyra becomes the Earth Wife's imp, giving her the imu again, which Jame had thought destroyed in the Heart of the Woods at the end of Dark of the Moon.
