Mount Zedvyoyen was a volcano on the planet Renthiv. At some time relatively early in the history of the Garjo people, the volcano erupted and the lava and ash consumed an army encamped at its base. This incident was the impetus for zedvyoyen entering the Garjo languages as a byword for an unstoppable force which destroyed even the mighty; it ultimately became a title of respect for a supremely skilled warrior.

Mount Zedvyoyen was never known to erupt after, and the Garjo built shrines around its base. It was tradition that a warrior honored with the zedvyoyen title make a pilgrimage to the mountain, and many such warriors were buried there when they died.
