The 1961 Old Dominion 500 was a [[Grand National] (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on September 24, 1961. Joe Weatherly led 116 of the 500 laps in route to a three-quarters lap victory on Rex White and the rest of the field.
