He mainly appeared in "The Wedding Destroyers," where his most notable action is giving a loft (previously promised to the boys) to his stepdaughters as a bedroom. It is revealed that he did this through a cell phone call between him and Jonesy. His gift unintentionally raised tensions between the two already warring parties, and led to a fiasco at Grind Me when the boys refused to move the stag as a means of retaliation. Mr. Garcia also only appeared in a few scenes in the episode, all of which were either at the stag or the wedding, and only spoke in order to make the joint announcement with his then-fiancée that the wedding would be postponed until their kids had grown up. | - Mr. Garcia, portrayed by Roger Montgomery, was the grade 9 teacher at Degrassi Junior High. The reason he came to teach at Degrassi Junior High was because in June 1988 due to the shifting populations, all the high schools were full, and there was no room for Mr. Raditch's 8th grade class. So for one year, Degrassi Junior High added a grade 9 class. Which would have some part-time classes like science labs at Borden High School. Where Mr. Garcia could have been from and probably taught other classes while the grade 9 degrassi students took there classes there part of the day. Also, Mr. Garcia was the teacher who gave the grade 9 students awareness lessons and frank discussions about the AIDS virus. Which at the time was just being added to the schools curriculum. Mr. Garcia was very supportive and very understanding about the loss of Derek Wheeler's parents. He's helped Wheels come back to school and catch up on his homework and his studies. At the end of the year, he felt that even though Wheels marks had just scrapped by, and he had missed many classes and he had rotten behaviour, by which on normal circumstances the grade 9 teacher would recommend the student to repeat the grade over again. But he knew that it had been a horrible year for him and his marks, and work really improved by the end of the year and he felt it would be best for Wheels to stay with his friends and peers. After Degrassi Junior High ended Mr. Garcia wasn't seen again. Chances are he went to work at Borden High school, since he was not seen at Degrassi High School.
