  • Anthony Bradshaw was an orphan. He was abandoned to the Clarendon Workhouse at the age of ten. Anthony was "sold" by a Mr Sutton to Edward Hardiman, who recognised his talent for foretelling the future and used him in a variety show at a music hall for a month. He was billed as "the Amazing Anthony – the Wonder of 1898". Anthony’s gift was evidence of a parasitic energy that was feeding on him called Lawphoram. Captain Jack Harkness rescued Anthony and freed him from the Lawphoram. Jack gave Anthony a new, long life and returned towards its end to say goodbye to him in hospital before he died.
