The Ogden Stake Tabernacle was built in 1952 as a large meetinghouse with a seating capacity of 2,000 in order to serve church members from eleven stakes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Weber County, Utah. It is the last Tabernacle commissioned by the church, which began building what have become known as Stake Centers to accommodate large congregations and also serve as weekly meetinghouses with classrooms, cultural halls and offices.
