Der Hintergedanke vs. Jedi Order was a Republic court case in the Darkness era. It involved a dispute between the Der Hintergedanke cult and the Jedi Order. Based on the orders of the cult's leader, Darth Verraeter—but the court didn't know that—the cult had sent evangelists to convert malleable Jedi Knights and Apprentices to their cause. The Jedi had expelled them from the planet, because they felt a sinister purpose to their presence. Arol Ytikkiin, after he consulted with Verraeter, filed a lawsuit against the Jedi for civil wrongs.

  • Der Hintergedanke vs. They went to court and judge Werre Pul voted in the cult's favor. (This was later found out to be the result of a bribe from a Senator named Zuplaa, who was a secret member of the cult.) They gained the rights of all religions within the Republic, such as the right to preach their message, establish centers of worship, and do so without government or Jedi interference.
