A series of steep rises in northern Cardolan, the Tyrn Hyarmen were actually a part of the Barrow-downs , but separated from them by a broad gap through which the Greenway passed. This , and the lack of the oppressive feeling of death present in the Barrow-downs, caused the locals to refer to the South Downs as an entirely different terrain feature. They were covered with a thick, low grass, and many sheep grazed upon the sunny slopes. The Tyrn Hyarmen once supported a much larger population, but many residents fled to Tharbad after the Plague.

  • The South Downs were a series of hills in Eriador just south of Bree.
  • History: Most of the Garou and kinfolk are farmers and fruit growers, though some have ties to the local tourist industries in nearby Hastings, Brighton, and Bognor Regis.
