The Ransomes 902 was the first self-propelled combine harvester designed and built by Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies of Ipswich, England. It went into production in 1958 after being launched at the 1957 Smithfield Show. The Ransomes 902 was powered by a Ford Thames Trader 4-cylinder engine, through a 3-speed gearbox, via a hydraulically operated variator v-belt drive. Output was up to 6 tons per hour, and the Ransomes 902 remained in production until it was replaced by the Ransomes 1001 combine in 1964
