In January 2008 Arjun attended the World Congress on Psychology and Spirituality - a conference held in Delhi, India - where he met and interacted with people who were involved in the spiritual aspects of music. Here he underwent a shamanic initiation with Holotrophic Breathwork developed by Stanislav Grof. In June 2009 Arjun founded the Nevi’im ashram in Chennai, India to further explore the spiritual aspects of music, perceptual modification, music therapy, and conscious evolution. Following the global economic collapse in 2009, Arjun began to explore the dynamics of the global economic collapse and its implications for the future, and the possibilities of expressing the impact of Global Warming and Civilizational Collapse through music, and in January 2011 in collaboration with his brother Vije Dhas, The Foundation for Civilizational Transformation and Conscious Evolution, and The Synthetist Mission, staged ‘The Day That Never Was’ concert. A concert aimed at articulating and raising awareness of critical issues through music. An alumni of S.Thomas’ Preparatory School Colpetty – a prestigious educational institution modeled on the British public school system and set up in Sri Lanka under British colonial rule - Arjun was the first alumni of this institution to be awarded the indigenous title of ‘Sasthrabhimani’ by the South Asian Academy For Good Governance, based in Anuradhapura - the ancient capital and sacred city of Sri Lanka - in November 2013 in recognition of his contributions to the field of music.
