Charlie's piano was seen in the episode "Fire + Water", and provided a metaphor for Charlie's feelings of family and his urge to "save" them. The piano, a Kawai studio upright, was given to Charlie by his mother Megan Pace at Christmas, when Charlie was eight years old (this can be calculated due to Liam's toy present, Voltron, popular in 1984 when Charlie would be eight). In a dream Charlie had of this scene, his mother said that with the piano Charlie would become successful and would "save" them. It remained with Charlie throughout his time in the band Drive Shaft, being used when Charlie composed new songs.

  • When Charlie was a child, he was given this piano as a Christmas gift from his mother and was told that he was special and that one day he was going to save them. The paino would later serve a great purpose for Charlie as he used it to write new songs for his band Drive Shaft. However, it would be later sold by his brother Liam so that he could move to Australia with his wife and newborn daughter.

The piano was sold by Liam to pay for plane tickets for him, his wife, and his daughter to travel to Australia. It later appeared in another dream Charlie had where he played it, only to discover that Aaron was trapped inside it. The piano was then seen rolling out to sea.

The paino would later serve a great purpose for Charlie as he used it to write new songs for his band Drive Shaft. However, it would be later sold by his brother Liam so that he could move to Australia with his wife and newborn daughter. The piano would later re-appear on the island in a vision for Charlie in which he played the piano on the beach, and later realized that Aaron was trapped inside. After calling for help, the piano tipped over and drifted into the ocean.
