Accused of sorcery by the witch-smeller Ageera, Tuthmes and Muru are torn to pieces by an angry mob. When Tanada tries to get her soldiers to stop the crowd, they turn on her and slay her. The entire city erupts in violence against the lords, and Conan takes Diana and flees the burning city.
