| - Pachacamac (パチャカマ Pachakama?) is a fictional character from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He was an anthropomorphic echidna and father of Tikal, who served as the mystic chief and warlord of the Knuckles Clan 4,000 years ago. When Pachacamac rose to Chief of the Knuckles Clan, he led his people on series of wars to expand the clan's empire, eventually coming into conflict with the Nocturnus Clan. To ensure his people's survival, Pachacamac orchestrated an attack on Altar of the Emeralds, but ended up invoking the wrath of Chaos who killed Pachacamac and nearly wiped out the Knuckles Clan.

- Pressed on two sides by both the Cat Country as well as their technologically-advanced rival Nocturnus Clan, the only hope for the Knuckles Clan's victory was to claim the power that the seven emeralds possessed. However, Tikal and the Chao wanted no part in the conflict between the clan and the local Cat people. Believing his way to be right, Pachacamac ordered his men to attack, trampling Tikal and the Chao, enraging their protector, Chaos. Chaos absorbed the emeralds' power, and used his new strength to wipe out the entire Knuckles Clan, Pachacamac included. Only Tikal was spared from this, and to prevent Chaos from rampaging across the planet, she trapped herself and Chaos within the Black Emerald. (StH: #82, SSSM: #2)

- Pachacamac was considered the creator god by the people who lived in Peru before the Inca conquest. He was taken into the Inca pantheon, but somewhat reluctantly, being seen mainly as an ineffective rival of Virachocha.
- Pachacamac (or Chief Pachacamac, known as Pochacamac in one comic book and pronounced Pachakama in Japan) was a reddish-brown echidna with yellow stripes and blue eyes. He lived roughly four thousand years before the main events of the Sonic continuity, as a leader and warlord of the Knuckles Tribe (the echidna civilization of which Knuckles himself is the last descendant). Tikal the Echidna is his daughter.
