The Nol-Ennis, or simply Nol, were a sect of a humanoid species, and were the ancient enemies of the Ennis faction. Along with the Ennis, they were imprisoned on a moon in the Gamma Quadrant where death was forgone by microcellular technology that only functioned within the confines of the moon's atmosphere, effectively sentencing them to an eternal war with the Ennis.

- The Nol-Ennis were a faction of an alien race in the Gamma Quadrant. They were led by Zlangco. Several hundred years ago, the Nol-Ennis began a long-running war with the Ennis on the planet Tevlin-De. The cause of the war was soon forgotten, some believing it to be over land or water. As a punishment for not being able to end the fighting and as a deterrent for the other factions on the planet, the Nol-Ennis and the Ennis were exiled to a moon. As an additional punishment, Tevlin-De's leaders created nanite-like bio-mechanical microbes that resurrected people after death, forcing the Nol-Ennis and the Ennis into an eternal war. | - The Nol-Ennis, or simply Nol, were a sect of a humanoid species, and were the ancient enemies of the Ennis faction. Along with the Ennis, they were imprisoned on a moon in the Gamma Quadrant where death was forgone by microcellular technology that only functioned within the confines of the moon's atmosphere, effectively sentencing them to an eternal war with the Ennis. In the 24th century the Nol-Ennis were led by Zlangco, who did not trust the Ennis leader Golin Shel-la. Benjamin Sisko led a failed attempt in 2369 to bring the Ennis and Nol-Ennis together; their distrust of one another prevented either group from thinking about anything but killing the other side. Kai Opaka, who had died and been brought back to life by the same technology, stayed behind in an attempt to bring peace to the Ennis and Nol-Ennis once and for all. (DS9: "Battle Lines")

Zudem wurde die Atmosphäre des Mondes mit Mikroben verseucht, die den Tod der Nol-Ennis und ihrer Gegner verhindern und sie im Fall einer eigentlich tödlichen Wunde wiederbeleben, um so ihre Strafe zu verlängern. Zudem hängt die Wirkung der Mikroben von der Umgebung ab, so dass ein Verlassen des Mondes unmöglich ist, ohne endgültig zu sterben.
