  • Blacklake is a district of the city of Neverwinter, inhabited by mostly nobility. It named for and features the eponymous lake of the same name where Neverwinter was first founded. The district is featured in both Neverwinter Nights games. In the first Neverwinter Nights game, it was an area of Chapter 1. The missing dryad fell into the hands of the reclusive Meldanen. In NWN2, the district was considerably rebuilt since the war with Luskan. It is initially closed off during Act I due several nobles being murdered, but is fully accessible in Act II. Landmarks of interest include Castle Never, Neverwinter Academy, an amphitheatre, and Aldanon's manor.
