With the addition of Grutte and her two siblings, there were eight pups all together in the group as of October 2009. However, three members of the group were absent at the end of the month. By November, Grutte Pier was two months old. Some time during this month, her older brother Old Creg, was predated. Her mother Young, the dominant female in the group, was pregnant within the same month and gave birth to five pups (Rice, Mayer, Mauer, Murray and Viking) in December. Grutte Pier and her brother Brea and Sister Griene Tsiis were no longer the youngest in the group. In January, the group encountered Aztecs.

Her older sister Christiana lost her litter also that month. Her mother Young and subordinate female Hen gave birth in February to a mixed litter. Gruttle Pier was then evicted in 2010 and she died of unknown causes.
