| - When creating the cyclopes, the wizards used the blood of major demons, resulting in monstrous giants whose mind and body was twisted by chaotic urges. They were also considered failures, and the wizards eventually created the orcs, an experiment that was deemed a success, and they used the orcs to lead the other races in battle. When the armies of the orcs finally defeated the demons, sending them back to Sheogh, the wizards decided to repay them by enslaving them all. The orcs, goblins, cyclopes and beastmen remained slaves of the wizard until 467 YSD, when the chieftain Kunyak led them in a rebellion against their masters. When battle turned against them, they were forced to flee from the Seven Cities. In their new life of freedom, the cyclopes chose to stay with their orc and goblin relatives. Cyclopes tend to be more than eight feet tall, and have more demonic traits than the other races. It's unknown exactly why they all have a single, large, glowing red, pupiless eye, but some believe that it is a mark of Urgash, meant to represent a snake eating its own tail.
