| - D-Generation X se formó el 20 de septiembre de 1997 en el evento One Night Only. Los miembros eran Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna y Rick Rude, este último era el manager del equipo. En los primeros mese tuvieron un feudo con The Undertaker. Michaels lo derrotó en Bad Blood en un Hell in a Cell . Luego tuvieron un feudo con Bret Hart, que era el Campeón de la WWF. Michaels se enfrentó con Bret Hart en Survivor Series derrotándolo y ganando el Campeonato de la WWF.
